Overview
The MBI6651 (MBI6651GSD) is a step-down (buck) constant-current LED driver IC manufactured by Macroblock Inc. Packaged in a SOT-23-6, TO-252-5, or SOP-8 enclosure, it drives high-power LEDs at continuous currents up to 1.2 Amperes from supply voltages ranging from 9.0V to 36.0V DC.
Operating at switching frequencies up to 1.0 MHz, the MBI6651 uses high-side current sensing with a low 100 mV reference voltage () to maximize efficiency (up to ). Its multi-function DIM pin accepts both high-frequency PWM dimming signals () and DC voltage analog dimming ().

DIM(Pin 3) grounded:DIMpulled below places the chip in shutdown mode (). For 100% continuous output brightness, leaveDIMfloating or pull HIGH to / 3.3V / 5V.

- MBI6651 vs PT4115: MBI6651 supports up to 36V input voltage range; PT4115 supports up to 30V input voltage range. Both use 100mV high-side current sense.
